This is your chance to join Crouch End Festival Chorus for a special 30th anniversary event.
Musical director David Temple has offered 100 new singers the chance to be part of a performance of Verdi’s Requiem, to echo the first concert it gave in 1984, and there are still a few spots left.
The first rehearsal will be during the Crouch End Festival and the public can pop along and see how the new guest members are integrated into the 158-strong chorus, which still includes original members Felicity Ford and Lucy Roots.
David says: "I'm very excited about it. The main reason we decided to do it is it will just be so much fun. If we pick up a few new members, even better.”
He says he never imagined the chorus would be going from stength to strength three decades after launching and his peronal highlights have included performing at the Royal Festival Hall for the first time and at Glastonbury.
The chorus is currently working on a new piece with composer James McCarthy about the Malala Yousafzai, the girl shot by the Taliban.
