Firefighters tackled a car blaze after a vehicle burst into flames outside a train station last night.

One fire engine was called to reports of the car fire in the Chingford Station car park in Station Road at 8.15pm on Sunday (November 8).

Commuters watched on as the Vauxhall went up in flames and emmited a large plume of dense smoke.

A fire crew from Chingford tackled the inferno for over 30 minutes before managing to get it under control.

There were no reports of any injuries but firefighters are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
