A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a car crashed into a church yesterday.
The woman had been walking along High Road in Loughton when a car lost control and skidded off the road and into the front of Loughton Methodist Church, hitting her as well at around 4.15pm yesterday (July 30).
She is now at Queen’s Hospital in Romford where she is being treated for injuries to her leg and pelvis.
The road was closed for around two hours while police examined the scene of the incident. No arrests have yet been made but police are expecting to release a witness appeal later this morning.
