Precariously positioned in the Ryman Premier League drop zone, Enfield FC go into Saturday's game at Maidenhead United knowing nothing less than a win will do.

The abandonment of last week's match against Bishop's Stortford due to a frozen pitch has left the E's rooted to third from bottom in the league.

Maidenhead currently lie in mid-table and have scored a healthy 39 goals so far this term, with Lawrence Yaku leading the way with 14.

Managed by former West Ham United midfielder Alan Devonshire, they lost 3-2 at home to Braintree Town in their last outing, ending a four-game unbeaten run that resulted in Devonshire being named as manager-of-the-month for December.

Although, scoring plenty of goals, Maidenhead have conceded 22 of their 32 goals at home and Enfield's foward line, which is expected to feature Ansah Owusu, will be hoping to capitalise on any defensive frailties on Saturday.

To strengthen their survival bid, the E's this week signed goalkeeper Marc Palmer from East Thurrock and midfielder Lee Endersby from Tooting & Mitcham United. In other transfer news, Tony Webster has been released to join Molesey.

The supporters' coach will leave Eros car park at 11.30am.
