A skydiving fanatic has defied odds of 430,000,000 to one to win the Euromillions lottery twice.

George Traykov, 45, of Ilford, won the £1million raffle in October 2011 and on January 21 he scooped a further £160,000.

Once a member of the Bulgarian National Skydiving team, Mr Traykov celebrated his double win with a holiday to Cancun in Mexico.

He said: “I’m lucky because I have lived a very happy life. I have a beautiful daughter and a job I love.

“Skydiving is still more exciting than winning the lottery.”

My Traykov, a property developer, has vowed to stay living in his semi-detached house and plans to renovate it with his winnings.

He said: "I love Ilford. My neighbours are lovely. It's nothing like it was in 1999."

Mr Taykov also said he will treat his 13-year-old daughter Elaine to skydiving lessons.

He  missed out on the £12million jackpot in the most recent draw by one number.

Mr Traykov, who moved to the UK in 1995, only found out he had won his first prize after checking his lucky dip ticket when he found it in a kitchen drawer.

His most recent winning numbers were 10, 15, 19, 23, 41 and the lucky stars were two and nine.
