WANSTEAD: Christmas lights to be switched on by Mayor

THE Christmas lights will be switched on in Wanstead on November 25.

The announcement was made at last night’s Area 1 committee meeting.

The Mayor of Redbridge, Cllr Chris Cummins will do the honours on the Green opposite the George pub at 4.30pm.

There will be music from the Salvation Army band and carol singing by children from Wanstead Church School at the annual event.
