A NEW course on the history of London’s open spaces is open for registration.

The course, which is being run by the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA), will provide students with a chance to learn about the development of the capital’s parks, open spaces and cemeteries.

Classes will be held over 10 weeks between 2-4pm, at the Drive Methodist Church in Eastern venue, Ilford, starting on January 19.

The course costs £70, but the first meeting is free.

The WEA are also offering a £35 five week introduction to the Koran at the Redbridge Adult Institute on Gaysham Avenue in Gants Hill. The first session is on February 20 at 7.30pm.
