First published in Waltham Forest by

A PARKING attendant was attacked and driven at after giving a motorist a ticket.

The 35-year-old was issuing the ticket for a silver Audi in Forest Road, near the junction with Melville Road, when the driver returned and an argument started.

He then punched the parking attendant in the face before getting into his car and driving at the attendant, throwing him to fall onto the bonnet.

The driver then made off at speed along Forest Road.

The victim suffered bruises to his leg and was taken to hospital.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen the attack, which took place at about 1.20pm on Tuesday, February 9, to come forward.

The driver was white, between 25 and 30 years old, about 5ft 11 with short black hair and was wearing a black coat and jeans.

Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constable John Ludwig at Chingford CID on (020) 8345 3015 or Crimestoppers anonymously on (0800) 555111.

My partner and I witnessed an attack on a parking attendant on Walthamstow High Street a few years ago and gave our details as witnesses. These are public employees who are there to punish bad motorists, like this one who clearly is a dangerous, violent person who needs to be apprehended.
