DAGENHAM AND REDBRIDGE have moved to strengthen their squad with the loan signing of Portsmouth youngster Matt Ritchie.

The winger, a regular in Pompey's reserve side, joins the Victoria Road outfit for a month.

Daggers boss John Still said: "I've watched him a few times and I like what I've seen.

"He's progressed from their academy and I know Harry Redknapp rates him highly.

"I'm pleased that Harry's has agreed to loan him to us initially for a month."

Ritchie will go straight into the Daggers squad for tomorrow's League Two clash with Rotherham.
