A Gala Celebration has been announced to recognise Kevin Spacey’s extraordinary 11 years as artistic director of The Old Vic.
In that time he has put it back at the heart of London theatre and secured its reputation on the international stage. He will be succeeded in the autumn by Matthew Warchus.
Hosted by Hugh Bonneville, the gala will bring together his theatrical friends and colleagues, including musical performances from Annie Lennox and Sting, with all proceeds going to The Old Vic Endowment Fund.
The night can also be experienced at the live screening at the BFI Southbank.
The Old Vic, The Cut, SE1 8NB, and BFI Southbank, Belvedere Road, South Bank, SE1 8XT, Sunday, April 19, gala from 6pm, screening from 7.15pm. Details: oldvictheatre.com
