Some of the county’s youngest political minds will put an MP to the test on Friday night, after inviting her to take the hot seat at a question and answer session. For the first time, Member of Parliament, Eleanor Laing, will be quizzed by the Epping Forest Youth Council. Mrs Laing will be the second public figure to meet the youth group in just a week, as police commissioner, Nick Alston, was questioned at the Safer, Cleaner, Greener Scrutiny Standing Panel, on February 12. Mrs Laing will meet with the 13-19 year-olds, who have developed a strong presence in the district’s political scene, in the council chamber. EFYC members plan to question the MP on a wide range of topics from current affairs, to party policies and of course, issues which affect young people throughout Epping Forest.
