A man died after suffering a cardiac arrest in a car in Redbridge Lane East, Redbridge, earlier this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said an Air Ambulance and three ambulance crews had attended the scene of the crash shortly after 4pm today.
She said: “Our staff treated a man reported to be in his 60s who was in cardiac arrest.
“Extensive efforts were made to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
She added that no other vehicles were involved in the incident and that a woman in her 60s was checked over at the scene of the crash but was not taken to hospital.
