A petition against a controlled parking zone in Wanstead has now attracted more than 1,200 signatures.
The trial restrictions were introduced a year ago in Addison, Chaucer, Dangan and Spratt Hall Roads following complaints about commuters parking in the area before joining the Tube network.
The trial is due to end next week, with councillors set to decide on its future on May 20.
Members of the Residents Against Residents' Parking group took to High Street, Wanstead, for the second time on Saturday to campaign against the CPZ.
They accept the need for restrictions to deter commuters, but believe the current rules are deterring shoppers from visiting businesses.
