THREE musical youngsters from a Redbridge school are set to follow in the footsteps of The Beatles.
The Echo, a rock band made up of pupils from King Solomon High School, Forest Road, Barkingside, will play a gig next year at The Cavern Club, in Liverpool, where the Fab Four made their name, on Saturday March 3.
The band, made up of lead guitarist Sam Shaw, 16, bass player Alex Dias, 18, and drummer Harry Shaw, 15, have performed at The Standard music venue, Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, and took part in the Battle of the Bands, held at the school in January this year.
The threesome, whose influences include 60s band The Who, will also be playing at Musictek in Dagenham on Saturday, December 16, with tickets costing £5 each.
Another King Solomon band, Live in Person, will be playing at The Standard in Walthamstow next Thursday evening.
