WALTHAM Forest Schools U11 representative side got their season off to a flying start with a convincing 4-0 victory over Newham Schools at the Peter May Centre, Walthamstow.
The team (above) is captained by Jade Bailey (second right, back row).
It was the first time she had captained the Waltham Forest side as the only girl in the team and it possibly made her the only girl skipper of a representative schools side in Essex, excluding girls teams.
After the match against Newham, Bailey signed for Arsenal's U12s girls team.
She is the daughter of soccer coach Trevor Bailey, the founder of Interwood Junior Football Club.
