A £3,000 boost for a Chigwell drama society could help continue 80 years of entertainment.
Chigwell Row Operatic and Dramatic Society (CROADS) was offered the sponsorship by Higgins Homes.
The money will go towards improving facilities and will aid the forthcoming production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Season’s Greetings.
Society President Jenny Witchell said: “We are a self-funded society and this represents a huge and much-needed injection of funds and will enable us to keep entertaining the local community in the way we love best."
The shows will be performed at Victory Hall, where the society has been since 1933, from the October 2 to October 5.
