People are being forced to walk into a high-speed road to reach a bus stop due to overgrown bushes, it is claimed.
Thorn bushes in High Road, Thornwood, are said to have grown across pedestrian access to the only Epping-bound bus stop in the village, which is used by many elderly people.
Bus user Joan Miller, 58, of Rye Hill Road, is calling on the council to take action before someone is injured.
She said: “At the moment it is really dangerous.
“If my friends come down they can’t use the bus because it is so dangerous. One of them uses a stick - it would be awful for her.”
“My daughter has been dealing with the council for me for the last month, but nothing has been done yet.
“This is something that really needs to be sorted, before somebody gets hurt.”
The council has been approached for comment.
