A mother accused of murdering her eight-year-old daughter appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday.
Polly Choudhury, 34, has been charged over the death of Ayesha Ali, who was found at a flat in Broomfield Road in Chadwell Heath on Thursday.
Ms Choudhury was remanded in custody and told she faces another preliminary hearing at the court on November 19.
A post-mortem was carried out on Tuesday at St Thomas' Hospital, but the results have not been released.
A Met spokeswoman said the force expected further details to be released later today or tomorrow.
