Police are calling for witnesses after a woman was attacked with a brick in an apparently motiveless attack in a supermarket car park.
The attack in Sainsbury’s car park in King George Avenue, Newbury Park, took place at 8.15pm on February 17, when the woman was approached from behind and struck over the head.
The woman suffered cuts to her head and was taken to Whipps Cross University Hospital.
The brick used was later found by police with blood on it.
Nothing was taken from the woman or her car.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and ask for Ilford CID.
