Ongar Town Council has organised litter picking sessions as part of a plan to improve the local environment.
The first session is on the morning of Saturday May 10th, and will concentrate on the Shelley area.
Anyone wanting to help should meet at the Ongar Leisure car park at 9.30am for a 10am start.
Litter pickers, gloves and high visibility jackets will be provided.
Open Spaces Committee chairman Alison Wingfield said: “The town council would like to encourage residents to be more responsible for their own rubbish and not to rely on other people to pick up their litter.”
Volunteers filled more than 200 sacks with rubbish at a similar clean-up last year.
