A community library has celebrated its first anniversary by entertaining guests with literature, comedy and dancing.
The open event at Harrow Green Library, in West Street, Leytonstone, was attended by more than 50 visitors on Friday.
Visitors were entertained by two special performances by award-winning poet and comedian, John Hegley and professional dancer Theo Oloyade, of Sky TV's Got to Dance.
Pupils from Norlington School for Boys added to the entertainment by performing a group dance with Mr Oloyade.

Library activist, Ros Kane said the marked the progress one year on and to congratulate the 'excellent work' of its volunteers.
And added: "It’s so important that there are local places that people can go if they want to find a friendly face, join a club, or just find a quiet place to read and borrow books."
