A trial date has been set for a man accused of several sex offences including attempted rape.
Mohamed Mechtak, of no fixed address, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday charged with six offences, including sexual assault, attempted rape and false imprisonment.
The 34-year-old is alleged to have sexually assaulted a female, attempted to rape a woman, assaulted a female by penetration and imprisoned a woman against her will.
He pleaded not guilty to all six charges which occured in Poppleton Road, Leytonstone on February 10.
Mechtak is also accused of causing criminal damage to a car in nearby Colworth Road, and escaping from lawful custody.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of the trial scheduled for August 4 Snaresbrook Crown Court.
