A man will appear in court today accused of allowing his dog to attack a park user.
Sylvester Campbell, 24, of Lichfield Road in Woodford Green, is charged with being responsible for allowing his bullmastiff to act dangerously out of control in a public place and cause injury.
Police were called to Highams Park Field on April 18 at 3:30pm following reports of a dog attack.
Park user Howard Clarke, 56, sustained minor arm injuries after being bitten by the dog which is prohibited under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Campbell was arrested at the scene and the bullmastiff was seized by police.
He was released on bail to appear at Thames Magistrates Court today.
