Scouts' wishes were granted as a new rock climbing area was officially opened.
Members of 3rd Ongar Scouts were on hand to help officially open the new facility at the QEII Jubilee play area at Love Lane, Ongar this week.
They were involved with the design plan for the Rock Stakz climbing area which was installed by Ongar Town Council.
A climbing feature was chosen after being on the ‘wish list’ of the young people who took part in the Play in the Park consultation.
Town council chairman Diana Roberts said: “The Cubs have really supported this idea by doing their own fundraising and suggesting some very imaginative ideas.
Ongar Mums Group made a donation which, along with external grant funding secured by the council, meant the project could go ahead.
Ongar Town Council chairman Diana Roberts and 3rd Ongar Scouts Akela, Lisa Portman, cut the ribbon.
