A 39-year-old man has been arrested after a man was knifed in Walthamstow.
Emergency services were called to Barrett Road off Wood Street at arounnd 10am yesterday to reports of a stabbing.
London Ambulance Service, including the air ambulance, arrived at the scene and treated a man in his 40s for stab wounds.
The helicopter landed in the playground of Brookside Primary School, in Barrett Road, but the patient was taken by land ambulance to an east London hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
Police arrested a 39-year-old man close to the scene on suspicion of greivous bodily harm with intent.
He remains at an east London police station.
Officers in Waltham Forest are not looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbing.
