A trial date has been set for a truck driver accused of causing the death of a cyclist in central London last year.
Barry Meyer, 52, of Audrey Road in Walthamstow, faces three charges over the death of cyclist Alan Neve in Holborn on July 15 last year.
He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on August 5 and his legal team indicated he would plead not guilty to causing death by careless driving, a licence offence and causing death while driving with no insurance.
Mr Neve, of Poplar, was pronounced dead at the scene following the morning rush-hour collision.
Meyer appeared at Blackfriars Crown Court yesterday and has been granted bail to return on October 7.
The court has set a trial date for April 7 2015.
