A woman has been hospitalised with multiple injuries after being hit by a falling ceiling.
London Ambulance services (LAS) were called to Mount Avenue in Chingford to reports of something falling on a person yesterday afternoon at around 3.35pm.
The air ambulance was scrambled to the scene and landed in the gardens of Churchill Terrace in Old Church Road.
An LAS spokeswoman confirmed a woman believed to be in her 20s had suffered injuries to her head, chest and abdomen after a ceiling fell through.
She was taken to Royal London Hospital as a priority by land ambulance with a doctor from the air ambulance onboard.
Police did not attend the incident.
