A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a mother in her home.
Leighann Duffy was stabbed in the neck at her home in Hatherley House, Walthamstow, on September 1.
She died in hospital on September 3.
A six-year-old child at the address received treatment at the scene for a minor injury and did not attend hospital.
A man was arrested yesterday and remains in custody.
Neighbours described how they went to Miss Duffy's aid when they heard her screams.
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a stab wound.
