Hate crime in the community is set to be discussed in a public meeting.
The discussion will take place between 2pm and 5pm on October 14 in Ilford Central Library, in Clements Road.
The meeting, organised jointly by Redbridge and Newham councils, will take place during Hate Crime Awareness Week.
Hate crime is crime motivated by prejudice against people because of the colour their skin, their faith, their disablility or sexual orientation.
The conference will explore what people in Redbridge can do to promote awareness of hate crime, how to report it and stop it, and what the authorities should be doing about it.
There will be a panel of speakers, workshops and discussion.
