A town council has launched this year's Christmas window competition.
Ongar Town Council has today launched its 'Christmas during the First World War' competition which will automatically enter any shop in Ongar that dresses its window up for the festive season.
Judges will be looking for creative shop fronts which reflect this year's theme to commemorate the 100th anniversary of The Great War.
Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winner and two runners-up.
Public Relations Committee chairman councillor Sheila Jackman said: “We hope we will get many entries as there is no doubt that attractive shop windows act as an enticement to shoppers, so please help us brighten up the town for the festive season.”
