A torch light procession will be held in honour of loved ones who will be missed at Christmas.
This year's Light up a Life ceremony in Loughton will see friends and families come together to remember people at Christmas time.
The annual event at Kings Green, organised by St Clare Hospice and the town council, will see residents carrying a symbolic light in celebration and commemoration of lost loved ones.
Christmas lights placed in a tree by the war memorial will be switched on at the end of the walk followed by The Davenant Community Choir performing carols.
This year’s ceremony will take place on November 29 and begin at Loughton Methodist Church in the High Road at 4.45pm.
