An Army Cadet Force received a £200 donation last week after acting as Stewards at King Harold Day.
The Essex Army Cadet Force were awarded the cheque by Chairman & Organiser of King Harold Day, Tricia Gurnett, and Vice Chairmen, Isabelle Perrichon and Dave Giles, on Tuesday.
The funds will go towards buying a new Standard for the cadets at their headquarters in Sewardstone Street, Waltham Abbey.
Ms Gurnett said: “We cannot speak too highly of the way the cadets entered into the spirit of King Harold Day.
"They were so willing and helpful, and were friendly and polite to our visitors. We really couldn’t have managed without them.
"They are all a great credit to their parents, to the ACF and to themselves."
