A man convicted of a range of violent offences in his native Poland has been arrested in Leyton hours after police launched an appeal.
Janusz Kedziora, 28, is the subject of a European Arrest Warrant after committing crimes including actual bodily harm, criminal damage, robbery, attempted robbery and burglary between 2005 and 2007.
He was arrested at an address in Staffa Road, Leyton, at 1pm today.
An appeal to trace Kedziora, who also goes under the name Michal Krawczyk, was reported by the Guardian at 7am this morning, along with details of a number of men being sought under European Arrest Warrants.
He is due to serve a 10 year prison sentence in Poland and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court for an extradition hearing.
