Suspect 172855
A CCTV image has been released of a thief who tried to steal a bank card at a cashpoint.
The man pictured is wanted in connection with the incident at Barclays in High Road, Leytonstone, at around 3.30pm on December 17.
The woman became aware of what the man was trying to do and challenged him, but he claimed he was trying to help her.
He then walked away.
Police believe he could attempt the same theft at other cashpoints.
