An internet troll jailed for sending menacing messages of a sexual nature to Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy has dropped an appeal against his conviction.
Peter Nunn, 34, from Bristol, was jailed for 18 months in September for sending indecent, obscene and menacing messages to Ms Creasy and feminist Caroline Criado-Perez.
He retweeted abusive messages threatening to rape Ms Creasy and branded her an "evil witch" after she backed a campaign to feature author Jane Austen on the new £10 note.
The part-time delivery driver abandoned his appeal against the conviction and the sentence at the last minute.
The appeal was due to be heard at the Old Bailey but his lawyer, David Patience, said he had decided not go ahead with the appeal.
A restraining order banning him from having any contact with both women still applies.
