Firefighters from two stations will join forces this weekend for an unusual assignment and raise money for charity.
Ongar Fire Station will host its Charity Carwash on Saturday (July 11), with crew members being joined by firefighters from Old Harlow station to clean the public’s cars.
Donations will be given to the Fire Fighters Charity, which supports fire service workers and their families both during work and after retirement.
The event, which is also supported by Essex Air Ambulance, runs from 10am to 3pm.
