Members of the public will have the chance to question NHS bosses at a meeting this week.

The West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will hold its board meeting in public at the Zinc Arts Centre in Great Stony, Ongar, on Thursday (July 30).

The meeting will include an update on the Integrated Care Programme being piloted in Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell and Waltham Abbey, which aims to make new links between NHS departments for more efficient care.

Chief officer of the CCG Clare Morris said: “West Essex CCG is demonstrating real innovation through the Integrated Care Programme and we are starting to see some tangible results from the pilot sites across our localities.

“I am inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication I have witnessed from CCG staff, partners and local people who are dedicated to helping us realise our vision of joined-up health and care services for the population of west Essex.

“By continuing this collaborative effort, we have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of local people.”

Local GP provider company, Stellar Healthcare, will also be at the meeting to give an overview of plans for a new seven-day GP service.

After the latest news and plans have been discussed, members of the public will have the chance to put questions to the board.

The meeting runs between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
