A 26 mile bicycle tour will give cyclists the chance to explore historic waterways and come face-to-face with a diverse array of flora and fauna next weekend.
The guided Canal Towpath Ride will follow an extensive route of 18th century canals next Sunday (August 23), starting from the Hooks Marsh Car Park in Waltham Abbey.
The ride, which is open to people aged 10 and over, will follow a route north to Hertford and then Welwyn Garden City for lunch, before returning back down the canal to Waltham Abbey.
Children must be accompanied by adults, and bikes are not included.
To book tickets, phone Epping Forest District Council on 01992 564 226 or phone 01992 564 567 to rent a bike.
