On Monday (September 21) Redbridge Equalities and Community Council welcomed Labour’s MP for Ilford North, Wes Streeting, to Gants Hill United Reformed Church in Woodford Avenue.
The meeting covered issues relating to equality, community cohesion and prospective areas of tension in the borough.
The topics discussed included an increase in Islamophobia and antisemitism in the borough, engaging with the traveller community and advancing community cohesion.
