Firefighters tackled a garage fire at the back of a house for over an hour last night (November 10).
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said the single storey building was completely destroyed by the accidental blaze in Stainforth Road, Ilford.
A gas cylinder found inside, at risk of causing an explosion, was cooled by the two fire engines to make it safe.
There were no injuries reported.
The fire brigade were called at 8.55pm and had the fire under control by 10.03pm.
