Libraries across Redbridge will come together to celebrate LGBT History Month next month.
Working with The Terrence Higgins Trust, Woodford Green Library in Snakes Lane West will host a series of presentations and workshops on LGBT issues including HIV awareness and testing.
There will also be a discussion group on the novel The Price of Salt, published in 1952 by Patricia Highsmith, on February 18.
A Redbridge Council said: “We are proud of the diversity of Redbridge that goes further than just racial and cultural diversity, so we feel it’s important to celebrate and support our members of the community no matter their gender or sexual orientation.”
A discussion panel of five well-known LGBT YouTubers will also take place at Redbridge Central Library in Clements Road, Ilford on February 9.
