A woman was attacked by a man and dragged to the ground in a park on Valentine’s Day morning.
At around 9am, the woman in her 40s was walking through Valentines Park in Ilford when she was approached by the attacker.
She managed to fight the man off before he fled the park, possibly in the direction of Gants Hill.
More police are now patrolling the area.
The man police are looking for in connection with the incident is white, in his late 20s or early 30s, with collar length light brown hair, a chubby face and a big nose.
He was wearing a black padded coat with dark purple across the shoulders and carrying a black messenger style bag.
Police believe the suspect may have injured his hands and face during the attack.
