A HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED TV series shot in Wanstead earlier this year finally has a release date.
Taboo, starring London-born Hollywood heartthrob Tom Hardy, will be hitting our screens on January 7 2017.
The eight-part drama tells the story of the East India Company, in which the 39-year-old plays a character called James Keziah Delaney.
Wanstead descended into a frenzy when the Mad Max star was spotted filming scenes for the show at St Mary’s Church in Overton Drive in February.
The church is Redbridge’s only Grade I-listed building and features in the trailer released earlier this year.
A spokesman for Wanstead Parish took to Twitter to express their excitement.

Taboo will air on BBC One on January 7 and FX in the USA three days later.
