A man from east London has been arrested on suspicion of terror offences.
Detectives from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command detained the 28-year-old this morning (Wednesday, April 19), on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism.
He was arrested in east London at around 5.30am this morning and remains in custody at a central London police station.
Detectives are executing search warrants at two addresses in east London and enquiries are ongoing.
Police say the arrest is unrelated to another made by the Counter Terrorism Command in north London this morning.
