THE TORIES have today announced their candidate to take on Labour’s Stella Creasy in a battle to become the MP for Walthamstow.
In a repeat of 2015, Molly Samuel-Leport MBE, a seven-time world karate champion, will be looking to give Ms Creasy a good fight in the General Election on June 8.
Two years ago Mrs Samuel-Leport came second with 5,584 votes and a 13.4 per cent vote share.
She will be up against web developer Andrew Johns for the Greens and Ukonu Obasi, who was announced as the Liberal Democrat’s candidate yesterday.
The candidates will be vying for your vote at a hustings showdown in St Mary’s Church, in Walthamstow village, on Wednesday, May 17.
The public is welcome to attend the free event, which starts at 7pm.
