A PAIR of heartless thieves robbed a pensioner of £400 in Ilford Town Centre after dousing her in pepper sauce.
The 82-year-old woman had just left Barclays Bank in the High Road at 3pm on Friday, and was waiting at the bus stop outside when the two women tipped pepper sauce over her shoulder and hands.
They then pointed out the mess out to her and while one of them helped her clean it off, the other unzipped her handbag and removed the money from her hand bag.
The first woman is described as around 20 and the second is around 30, both are black and were wearing what were described as black gowns.
