A DRIVER fled on foot after crashing their car into an empty shopfront and injuring a man.
The Vauxhall Zafira ended up nearly half-way through a shopfront in Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, just before 6am yesterday.
The driver of the car didn't stay for the police and fled, possibly in a second vehicle, The Met said.
The man in the property suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
London Fire Brigade also attended to inspect the damage to the property.
Officers from Waltham Forest police are investigating.
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
