An east London man has been charged with encouraging terrorism.
Shafi Mohammed Saleem, 28, from Forest Gate, was charged today following an investigation into extremist material being spread online.
The nature of this material was not revealed by Scotland Yard.
Saleem was arrested in east London on April 19 by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, and later bailed pending further inquiries.
He is due to appear on bail at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 26.
