A TEENAGER who adores performing is going to give singing her “best shot” at the finals of a singing competition.
Morgan Metson, who lives in Ongar, says making it through to the last round of TeenStar was unexpected.
The 15-year-old battled against 10,000 others to earn her place in the final, which will be broadcast on television.
She said: “I can’t quite believe I’ve made it this far.
“I only ever entered the competition to gain a little bit of experience.
This is what I want to do in the future.
“I never thought there was a possibility of being in the final, but I am going to give it my best shot, and try to win this now.”
Morgan, who goes to Caterham High School, will need to come first out of 32 rivals to be crowned the overall winner.
She has always enjoyed singing and for the last three and a half years, has been attending Make Believe in Barkingside.
Her dream is to study at a performing arts college and to star in a West End musical.
Morgan’s mum Lisa, said: “She has always wanted to perform, ever since she was little.
“It comes naturally to her.”
