A POLICE officer has been put on the sex offenders register after he admitted having child and extreme animal porn.
PC Lucas Beach, of the Met Police’s east area command unit covering Redbridge, Havering, and Barking and Dagenham, was given a three-year community order for the offences on July 27.
He admitted possessing extreme animal pornography, banned images of children, and making indecent images of children at Basildon Crown Court.
PC Beach was arrested in October last year after Essex Police officers raided his home in Park Road, Wickford.
Sentencing, the judge ordered him to take part in a month-long rehab programme and said he will be on the sexual harm prevention register for five years.
The Met will now carry out their own misconduct investigation, which will determine whether he loses his job.
